ABOUT DR. ADAMO NOTARANTONIO

Dr. Adamo Notarantonio is a 2002 graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he received honors in both removable and fixed prosthodontics. He was Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2011, and recently received his Fellowship in the AACD. He is the 80th person worldwide to achieve this honor.

Dr. Adamo has completed a year-long mastership in Biomimetic Dentistry, studying this concept under the guidance of Drs David and Davey Alleman in their Biomimetic Mastership Program. This treatment approach strives to preserve intact tooth structure and restore the function and biomechanics of natural teeth.

In 2016, Dr. Adamo was awarded the AACD’s Rising Star Award. He has also been re-elected to serve on the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry, is the most recent past Chairman of the ABCD, and has recently been appointed the Accreditation Chairman of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

From digital to photography, to rubber dam isolation, it is paramount that we take no shortcuts in any step along the way.

Creative Techniques to Experience The Esthetic Possibilities Of Using Anterior Composites In More Ways Than One With Everyday Dentistry … Predictably

ABOUT DR. DAVID CHAN

David Chan earned his DMD degree in 1989 from Oregon Health Sciences University. He maintains a full-time practice focused on cosmetic and comprehensive dentistry located in Ridgefield, Washington.

Dr. Chan currently serves as the President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, as Director at the Center for Dental Artistry and a Clinical Instructor at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.

He is an Accredited member of the AACD and has been published widely in peer reviewed dental articles, including several articles in the prestigious “Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry”.

In addition, David travels nationally/internationally giving lectures to dentists on comprehensive esthetic dental care and serves as a key opinion leader for many dental product companies.

COURSE OUTLINE:

When taken to the highest level of excellence, direct anterior composite restorations can command an esthetic outcome that is extremely conservative and predictable, yet able to exist in harmony with natural teeth.

This course will help participants understand the criteria to achieve a higher level of composite artistry with results that can seamlessly emulate natural teeth or rival the beauty of porcelain restorations by learning the concepts of both anterior composites and their restorative applications. Dr. Chan will cover the fundamentals of composites pertaining to the physical and optical properties of resins including strength, predictable shade selection recipes, tooth morphology as well as simple but very effective polishing techniques. The nuance that makes a restoration average verses exceptional based on the restorative goal will be presented in detail.

This course will be using composites to restore a peg lateral incisor in real time from beginning to end and discussion of other innovative ways to use composite resins such as temporization of dental implants or the duplication of the soft tissue architecture with composites.

• Learn how to create shade selection recipes for any shade scenarios, tints and opaquers to mitigate color correction and other pearls that ensure consistent results

• Learn how to restore a peg lateral incisor predictably to emulate nature

• Learn nominative techniques on how to use composites to shape soft tissue for anterior dental implants

• Learn how to use composites to replicate soft tissue architecture for a predictable outcome with anterior implant crowns

• Learn simple work flows to create any primary, secondary and tertiary anatomy imaginable that matches any variation of human tooth anatomy
